How to talk with your kids during these tough times

We’ve all been there! Times when we’ve had to talk with our kids about incredible tough issues! And now is no different, for sure! My Little ones misinterpret things, and show fear just like the rest of us!  My main concern is fear, I don’t want my kids fearful. And their ages run the gambit. From 5-11 years old, so it’s two conversations at two different times. The older the child, the harder the conversation will be. And the more fear about the unknown that may exists.

Tip#1-calm their nerves and entertain anything that they may have heard. Ask questions to draw them out, and then quiet their worries. What have you heard about what’s going on.

School-Encourage them to do

Tips to weather the storm……….

Wash your hands  Teach your kids good hygiene and encourage them to wash their hands. It can’t hurt, to help in the possibility of keeping the virus away!

Practice Social distancing -Stay within six feet of people that aren’t family members.
