A few years ago when an Branson entertainer died who helped get Branson going.
The powers that B intentionally closed highway 76 down.
Boxcar Willie’s hearse drove from West highway 76, all the way to East 76, closing highway 76 down completely.
He was a true Pioneer for Branson, advertising on the superstation when I was a little boy, in between the Cisco Kid and the lone ranger.
Star tours was a company in the 70’s busing people to busy Branson and the boxcar theater.
You could here his whistle blow on TBS those early mornings in the 70’s and you could here his whistle blow one last time on highway 76, when his funeral procession closed 76 down!
