Branson Stars we’ve lost in 2023

2023 has been a rough year, for Branson Stars that we have lost. Coming from a hotbed of 1990’s theater stardom, several of these

stars made their names somewhere else, and came back to Branson to call it home. Here is a list of some of whom we’ve lost this last

year.

Shoji Tabuchi

What an amazing entertainer with a theater on Shepherd of the Hills expressway. His theater boasted a million dollar bathroom, with a pool table in the men’s bathroom, and a powder room in the ladies. I saw many remarkable shows of Shoji’s there and even a Santa on stilts during Christmas time. He was a good representation of Branson and a great local person as well.

2. Buck Trent-when I posted the news on facebook, they took down the post. I was shocked as I had actually met Buck many times over the years and he was fantastic. I looked through his career and he had many a mile stone with the banjo. Including many stints with Roy Clark, on Hee Haw and off. He was an amazing player, and was great on the local scene as well. Long live Buck Trent

3. Richard Daniel Clark-an amazing entertainer, with years under his belt working with entertainers such as Bob Eubanks and many other. Richard had a rich personality and expressive abilities when he hit the stage. I got to see him on the stage at Roy Clarks working with Bob Eubanks and had met with him a few times in my office. Just a fantastic human very passionate about life and people. Richard created the artwork above and it was placed on the back of the grand palace. An amazing work that he and many others were so proud of. I remember helicopters taking off during veterans week in November. He will be missed.
