My 5 day trip to Hot springs, Food, Fun, and Magical Water!

My Whole 5 day trip to Hot Springs Arkansas

Arrived in Hot springs in Liu of Japanese food in Conway Arkansas. It has been years since I tried it, and last time I order from an old dingy hotel room.

And it brightened the mood in there right away. Well this time ordering for family we ordered there bargain Sushi for lunch it was fresh and amazing. 3 Rolls for $12.99 for lunch. I was amazed that all the rolls were so fresh and bouncy. I had the Spicey Tuna ( it did have to much pepper on it) But the Yellow tail and the salmon and the Alaska were amazing.

When we got to Hot Springs it was a culture shock. We drove through a bad section to get to our Air BNB. But when we got there it was located across from a donut shop on a  relatively quiet City street. The Air BnB was down from the old hotel the Ava Marie, which looked to be all concrete and chain link fence. A few business were scattered around that were all but closed, and hotels and motels scattered near.

The Bath house row was amazing, with all it’s majestic pillars, music and restaurants, ripe for the taking. We parked in a parking garage, and walked through crowds of people to see the sights. (Word here) It was such a breath of fresh air, and a nice diversion from work life that I began to melt, absorb into the crowd and feel weightless. And everyday only got better.

Day 2- Garvin Gardens-Zip Lining  Garvin Gardens was amazing and I love every minute of it. I got to go see the Chapel as it was only open till 11:30 am as, there were multiple weddings on Saturday. But that was OK. There was so much to see and so little time, we had zip lining in the afternoon. But what I did see was fantastic.

Grab one of those frozen limonades at the little restaurant they have there, and do it before lunch as they get slammed. And go on a wait.

Go see Anthony chapel it was amazing. Constructed out of wood and iron it must be 4 or 5 stories tall. It was majestic. My wife had to remind me to go see it, as my dimentia must be setting in.

Zip lining in the afternoon was fantastic with my 8 year old girl. We hoped from 10 different locations flying 80 miles an hour in the air. The highest spot we dropped from was about 80 feet. The people running the zipline (Tommy) was fantastic. I was really impressed with how nice they were to everyone, and how exhausting zip lining can be. Each guide alone does about 4 zipline trips a day. With about 5 to 7 people in each group.

Be sure to prepare for some high humidity, and be ready for an hour and a half of gliding and giggling.

Also the first jump is the toughest, and the rest get easier and harder.

Day 3 Hiking near the Arlington  I thought at first this place was haunted We were on the back side and there just wasn’t a lot there. Just a bunch of people filling there jugs from the natural springs. A lady in a mercedeez had like 45 jugs of free water in the trunk of her car.

Day 4 Hiking up to the Mountain Tower If you hike up on foot be prepared it’s all up hill. It’s not for the faint of heart, but once done it is amazing. We did pass some angry people as they traversed down the hill. We made it to the top and it was quite a feet, before we hit the tower.

If you do hike up hill, be sure to take a few breaks.

Water is available at the top of the hill at the tower.

Day 5  Bicycling around the Bath House row  The final day in between eating donuts, and fried pies, we rented bikes. We went to this place near a famers market we went to and bought meat, and food. The gentleman who runs the bike place was fantastic, and half the price of the other bike rental place. He outfitted us with fantastic bikes and gave us the rules of the land. He also offers tour of all the fountains where you can get you some of that mountain spring water.
