Why I’m glad we didn’t make it to Garth Brooks
I love Garth Brooks, but I feel alone in this sentiment in my household. I have to beautiful kids, an amazing wife, but they don’t know the BROOKS. The Dance, Shameless, if tomorrow never comes, they’ve never heard these songs nor do they want to. I did however but a tow truck would not have gotten them to the shows. And maybe this was a good thing.
For starters the traffic was horrendous and that would of been my wife’s first complaint. A couple from Boliver who spent $400 ended up not making it in, and decided to go to Branson instead,
There were only 5 or 6 shuttles for all those folks. 5 or 6 Shuttles isn’t even going to get you started. But I bet this will be fixed by the next event. Many people just decided to walk all the way to the event.
Ubers and lifts probably were not effective as they wouldn’t be able to get into the event and had to drop folks on 86. So how would pick up go.
65 Highway was over welmed, both lanes so no traffic could head South or North on 65 for a while. Law enforcement did all they could do.
Handicap access into the venue was strained so a lot of those folks may not have made it into the show.
Overall Garth was amazing as usual! And we hope he will be back. Meanwhile I’ll keep waiting on my encore of Friends in Low places, long Live Garth Brooks!
