This might turn out to be a very controversial post. But I’ve seen over the years that many people come here, looking for work and end up in a bad position. I’ve seen a lot of posts on social media where people are asking for help, and they don’t know where to go. Having lived in this area for over 20 years, I know of a lot of resources that will help people up to three times for some. One of the things that I think creates the situation is that Branson isn’t really that old of a city. We really got our development during the Branson boom which started in 1987 with Roy Clark building his theater in Branson Missouri.
Yes we’ve had two shows here for a very long time on the strip, but the development started in the middle of the 80s. People looking for work and places to live are attracted to our city as there is easy access to work in extended-stay motels to live on the strip and easily walk to work. Here is a list of potential places that might offer a helping hand in your time of need.
1. Cam Christian action ministries has offered many a helping hand and I believe they used to be located on 76 but I believe they’ve probably moved to a bigger building . I’ve heard a lot of mentions for this organization over the years and I do believe it’s a good source of help when you need it. To all of these there is a procedure, but they do help in times of need. Here’s the link to Christian action ministries http://christianactionministries.org/home/
2. Salvation Army-I’ve seen and heard good things from the Salvation Army over the years. And I’ve seen them reach out on social media to people who have had posts in need. Here’s the link to the Salvation Armyhttp://www.salvationarmy.org/
3. If you late on your electric bill, over the years I’ve heard things where the electric company will give you extenuating circumstances, and extend your payment date to a date more manageable for you. Until you come up with the cash. WR VEC is the electric company that I’ve heard that about, I’m not sure about Empire electric.
4. Church Army is another organization I’ve heard about that is pretty good in helping people in hard times transition into jobs and living situations. I’ve even had several people from church Army work for me at various businesses of managed throughout town. This might be a resource to help you get back on your feet if you’re facing hard times.
Here are some pertinent links to other stories relating to the subject matter that have been very popular thank you for reading my post post underneath other charities that might help people out and I will include these in my next article thank you.
